BMW E36 with Bride Gias Seats

The BMW E36 model was the basis for the 1991-2000 BMW 3 Series entry-level luxury car / compact executive car. It was the successor to the BMW E30 and was eventually replaced by the BMW E46 in 1999. The 4 door models were discontinued for 1999. Replacing it was the all-new E46. The 2 door E36 was still made for the 1999 year. So in 1999 you could only choose between a 2 door E36 and a 4 door E46. In 2000, the E36 was officially discontinued. The E36 was introduced in late 1990 (1991 model) for Europe and as a 1992 model for US and Canada.

The E36 experienced enormous success in the market. It laid strong foundations for the success that the BMW E46 experienced in subsequent years.

Also known as the "Dolphin shape", the E36 was sold from 1991 through 1999. It employed the "Z-axle" multilink suspension in the rear which had been proven in the Z1. DOHC engines were used across the range, with VANOS variable valve timing introduced in 1993.

If you are truly looking to style up your BMW E36, then good custom seats are a logical upgrade.  There are many aftermarket companies out there that produce quality bucket racing seats for either road or track use.  Prices can vary from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars for top of the line seats depending on your taste and the size of your bankroll.

Beside the bling effect of having some sweet looking Gias racing seats in your vehicle there are some performance benefits.  Because racings seats are made out of lighter materials than your factory seats they reduce the overall weight of your vehicle which is always a positive for tuning.

Gias Racing Seats are universal for all vehicles; however, all Gias seats will need to latch to a seats rail, which is car specific.  Make sure there are seats rail available for your vehicle, or otherwise you can customize your stock one to fit your aftermarket seats.

Bride Seats, the maker of the popular Gias seat is one of the heavy hitters in the aftermarket seat industry.  Many others try to match the quality of craftsmanship of the Gias seat but few succeed.   The Gias's tough frame was engineered using a super monocoque shell made from carbon-Kevlar and uses an all aluminum frame to increase rigidity for weight reduction. The ultimate super low position Low Max system is combined for the first time in Gias seats with a reclining mechanism.
