BMW Z4 with Sparco Torino II Racing Seats

The BMW Z4 is a rear-wheel drive sports car by the German automaker BMW. Replacing the Z3, first-generation production started in 2002 at BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina plant, with both roadster and coupe forms produced. Starting with the 2009 model year, the second-generation Z4 is built at BMW's Regensburg, Germany plant as a retractable hardtop roadster.

The first-generation BMW Z4 was known as the E85 in roadster form and E86 in coupe form. It was designed by Danish BMW-designer Anders Warming, who later made the Mille Miglia Concept car with some of the same shapes as the Z4.

The Z4's design addresses many criticisms of the preceding Z3; the Z4 is larger, and has a significantly stiffer chassis. The Z4 features a strut type front suspension like its predecessor. The rear suspension however is considerably different from that of the Z3, which was based on that of the E30 BMW 3 Series. Instead of a semi-trailing arm suspension, the Z4 uses a more advanced multi-link suspension. It was built in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Initially, the Z4 was available only as a roadster, but in 2006 a coupe version was officially launched. The last of the first-generation Z4 to be assembled in North America rolled off the assembly line on 27 August 2008.

If you are truly looking to style up your BMW Z4, then good custom seats, like Sparco's Torino II are a logical upgrade.  There are many aftermarket companies out there that produce quality bucket racing seats for either road or track use.  Prices can vary from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars for top of the line seats depending on your taste and the size of your bankroll.

Beside the bling effect of having some sweet looking Torino II racing seats in your vehicle there are some performance benefits.  Because racings seats are made out of lighter materials than your factory seats they reduce the overall weight of your vehicle which is always a positive for tuning.

Torino II Racing Seats are universal for all vehicles; however, all Torino II seats will need to latch to a seats rail, which is car specific.  Make sure there is a rail available for your vehicle, or otherwise you can customize your stock one to fit your aftermarket seats.

Sparco Seats, the maker of the popular Torino II seat is one of the heavy hitters in the aftermarket seat industry.  Many others try to match the quality of craftsmanship of the Torino II seat but few succeed.   One of the most advanced adjustable sport seats ever manufactured by Sparco.  Anatomic, extremely comfortable and refined in a modern design.  Back rest can be reclined to the millimeter, but features the exclusive QTS Technology (quick tilt system) technology for rapid return to the upright position. The Sparco Torino II also features revolutionary contoured injection molded memory foam. Touring car inspired g-force absorbing side bolsters. Perforated abrasion resistant inserts and a micro-fine recline mechanism. The fabric used on Torino II seats is Jacquard.
