Dodge Stratus with MOMO Atlantis Seats

The Dodge Stratus (and its twins, the Chrysler Cirrus and Plymouth Breeze; collectively known as the "Cloud Cars") was a mid-size 4-door sedan introduced in 1995. It was based on the Chrysler JA platform Cab forward (car). The Stratus, Breeze, and Cirrus were all on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for 1996 and 1997. It received critical acclaim at launch, but ratings fell over time. Production ended at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in early 2006 which had built 1,308,123 Stratus and Sebring's since 2000.  The Dodge Avenger replaced the Stratus nameplate in early 2007 for the 2008 model year.

The cars had many parts that were interchangeable between each model. The exteriors of these three cars were very similar, with the front fascia, rear bumper, taillights, and wheels being the main differences. The interiors had little variation between the three models; being almost identical, save for the name on the steering wheel, and a few available options.

A turbocharged version of the Stratus was sold in Mexico, with the 2.4 L DOHC 4-cylinder engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick. This car had 168 hp at 5200 rpm and 216 lb•ft of torque at 2200 rpm.

If you are truly looking to style up your Stratus, then good custom seats are a logical upgrade.  There are many aftermarket companies out there that produce quality bucket racing seats for either road or track use.  Prices can vary from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars for top of the line seats depending on your taste and the size of your bankroll.

Beside the bling effect of having some sweet looking Atlantis racing seats in your vehicle there are some performance benefits.  Because racings seats are made out of lighter materials than your factory seats they reduce the overall weight of your vehicle which is always a positive for tuning.

Atlantis Racing Seats are universal for all vehicles; however, all Atlantis seats will need to latch to a seats rail, which is car specific.  Make sure there is a rail available for your vehicle, or otherwise you can customize your stock one to fit your aftermarket seats.

MOMO Seats, the maker of the popular Atlantis seats is one of the heavy hitters in the aftermarket seats industry.  Many others try to match the quality of craftsmanship of the Atlantis seats but few succeed.

The new Atlantis tuning seat provides the look and feel of a competition seat in a non-FIA package. To ensure many years of security the Atlantis is constructed of tubular steel and fiberglass.  The high quality fabric has Kinder Point inserts at key wear areas for protection. The seat back has box quilting for a classic look while the thick base pad and built in thigh support will provide miles of comfort.  To finish off the look, MOMO is embroidered in yellow stitch across the headrest.  The Atlantis is a bottom -mount seat and has 4 harness holes.  Weighing in at only 17 pounds, its one of the lightest seats available.
